Florida residents seeking to vote before Election Day must act by Saturday or Sunday, depending on their county.

The 2026 general election early voting period concludes at different times across the state. In Brevard, Flagler, Lake, Marion, Polk, Sumter, and Volusia counties, early voting ends on Saturday, Oct. 31. Specific closing times range from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in those jurisdictions. Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties extend early voting through Sunday, Nov. 1. Orange and Osceola counties remain open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., while Seminole County operates from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Voters can choose any precinct during the early voting window. This flexibility does not apply on Election Day. On Tuesday, Nov. 3, voters must cast their ballots at their assigned polling location. Polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. local time. Individuals in the line before the 7 p.m. deadline are permitted to vote. Parts of the Florida Panhandle observe Central Time.

Registration for the 2026 general election closed on Oct. 5. To cast a ballot, voters must present a valid photo ID with a signature. Acceptable forms of identification include a Florida driver's license, Florida ID card, U.S. passport, debit or credit card, military ID, student ID, retirement center ID, neighborhood association ID, public assistance ID, veteran health ID card, or government ID. The voter information card provides precinct details but is not accepted as a form of ID.

County Supervisors of Elections maintain the list of specific polling locations. Voters can determine their assigned site by visiting their county's Supervisor of Elections website and entering their name and address. The Florida Division of Elections and county websites serve as the primary sources for this schedule.

Initial election results are expected shortly after polls close at 7 p.m. on Election Day. These results will update continuously as all precincts complete the count and report their tallies.
