Marcus Theatres has announced a series of promotions and screenings to coincide with the Milwaukee Brewers' appearance in the World Series. The chain is offering specific food and drink discounts at participating venues while also reviving two films related to the team's 1982 season. These events are scheduled at various Marcus Theatres and Movie Tavern locations throughout the Milwaukee area.
Jeff Tomachek, the company's president, stated that the organization has been anticipating this event for four decades. He noted that the chain wants to serve as a gathering place for fans who wish to watch the games or revisit the history of local baseball. Tomachek described the goal as providing a space for community celebration, whether through watching current games or viewing past footage.
The promotion includes two specific film titles: "UECK" and "Just a Bit Outside: The Story of the 1982 Milwaukee Brewers." Screenings for these documentaries are planned at ten different Marcus locations. These sites include Marcus Bay Park Cinema in Ashwaubenon, Marcus Green Bay East Cinema in Green Bay, and Marcus Majestic Cinema of Brookfield in Waukesha. Other participating screens for the films are in Delafield, Appleton, Menomonee Falls, Sturtevant, New Berlin, Sheboygan, and Oak Creek.
Food and beverage deals are available at several bars and lounges where fans can view games on large televisions and digital projectors. The pricing structure includes $5 domestic drafts, $9 Game Time Lemonades, and $10 medium pizzas. Appetizers are offered at half price during the event period. These deals apply to participating sites such as Movie Tavern Brookfield, Marcus Renaissance, and Marcus Menomonee Falls. Fans can also watch at The Wall at Gurnee Cinema, which provides a sports bar atmosphere.
A separate incentive exists for members of the Magical Movie Rewards program. Those who see any movie by October 31 will receive a voucher for one free Junior popcorn. This voucher is valid for redemption between November 4 and November 24. Individuals who are not current members can sign up for the program at no cost before their visit to receive the benefit.
Specific showtimes and ticket availability for the watch parties and film screenings are listed on the Marcus Theatres website and mobile application. The chain provided details regarding the participating locations and dates in a press release. The offer spans both the immediate World Series games and the surrounding promotional period for the film screenings.
