UK to Give Ukraine £10 Billion in New Aid
London agreed to split the funds between three-year economic aid and export support for weapons.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy spoke by phone with British Prime Minister Andy Burnham on October 28.
The two leaders discussed a new package of financial assistance from the United Kingdom. Zelenskyy announced that Britain will provide an additional £10 billion, roughly €11.9 billion, to Ukraine.
The funding is split into two distinct categories. London will deliver £7 billion in economic support over the next three years. The remaining £3 billion will serve as British export support, primarily for the supply of weapons. Zelenskyy noted this amount is in addition to the annual support Britain already provides.
The Ukrainian president called the decision a very timely step. He stated that every move to strengthen Ukraine pushes Russia closer to realizing it must end the war. Zelenskyy emphasized that this aid shows Ukraine will not be left alone.
The conversation also covered sanctions against Moscow. Zelenskyy stressed that the UK remains firm on those measures. This new commitment follows recent appeals from the EU to partners like Canada and Norway for more funding. The European Commission confirmed a €70 billion budget shortfall for Ukraine in 2027. European Council leaders instructed the Commission to prepare proposals to cover that gap after their summit on October 15 and 16.
The total value of the new UK aid is £10 billion.
